About the Erin Express in Philadelphia
What is the Erin Express? Well, simply put, it is a is a bar crawl of some of Philadelphia's Irish bars/restaurants. Apparently, the original one was started by William Pawliczek of Cavanaugh's and Paul Ryan, Sr. of Smokey Joe's over 30 years ago. So yes, your parents may have rocked the Erin Express, yet you will too.
There are now a couple of versions of the Erin Express rolling along. There is the Manayunk Local, the Northeast Erin Express, and there is now a Suburban/Main Line Erin Express, all following in the footsteps of the original that runs through bars at University City through Center City.
Currently, we are working to get the information for all of the above listed crawls, even though those of us running this site will be hitting the original University City Erin Express.
